BECOME AN INSPIRATIONAL QUILTS™ DONOR

 

Quilters are in general, very generous by nature and to make a quilt takes time, effort and expense. Often it can be daunting, when you spend so much time and money doing something only to give it away. Without the generosity and support of Quilters, Inspirational QuiltsTM would not be able to operate.

If you are interested in making and donating a quilt to Inspirational Quilts TM,, it needs to be at least 50” (120cm) square. Quilts donated to the Royal Children's Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Unit need to be made for either a boy or girl (bright colours and novelty prints are preferable). If you would like to make any other quilt, these can be in any colours/patterns, and will be donated to Ronald McDonald House, and given to the children and families staying in the house during major illness and/or treatment.

 Once your quilt is completed and ready for donation you can either:-

Each quilt donated by Inspirational QuiltsTM will have a label affixed to it which contains the name "Inspirational QuiltsTM", and a unique identification number eg IQ017, and the contact address for any correspondence. This will enable me to keep track of all quilts made, donated and recipient details.  Any correspondence received from recipients will be passed onto the quilt maker. The label can be put on by Inspirational QuiltsTM when received, or if you know you are making a quilt, please send me your details and I will post a label to you. It is preferable that the label be sewn into the quilt when adding the binding ensuring that the label will remain securely in place.

All quilts received are catalogued, and when you donate a quilt to Inspirational QuiltsTM, you will receive a letter confirming that we have received your quilt. Included in your letter, with be a picture of your quilt, the quilts unique identification number and when/where the quilt will be donated.
