Quilting Bees

Once a very popular way to contribute towards Inspirational Quilts, Quilting Bees, have been put on hold until further notice, due to the unexpected arrival of Thomas, Joshua and Luke. However, I intend to get back into running them, once life settles into some normality, which I am hoping will happen in early 2009.

What is a Quilting Bee? - Well all you need to do is bring along your sewing machine,  100% sewing cotton and any other equipment/accessories you like to use when sewing. Kits containing all fabrics to finish off a quilt top are provided. You sew at your own leisure, in the wonderful company of other quilters, and do as much as you can towards your quilt top. The tops are then taken away by me, and I will quilt, label and bind them, ready to be given to the kids.

Quilting Bees will be held regularly at selected venues generally within the Bundoora/ Watsonia area depending on numbers - although this is not a problem, as quilting bees tend to fill very quickly!

Morning tea, Lunch and Afternoon tea are all provided. All you need to do is pick a date, note it in your diary and join in the fun. To register your interest/attendance, simply give me a quick call or drop me an email and I will contact you with relevant details. Don't forget to book in early, as I said, quilting bees have been very popular and numbers are limited.

If you are only able to attend a quilting bee for a few hours, please let me know and I can cater to your times.
